Responsibilities
- Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility for the human and fiscal resources available in order to provide quality, cost-effective patient centered care.
- The Charge Nurse will possess and have the capabilities to perform all the major duties and critical tasks of a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- The Charge Nurse will demonstrate honesty, integrity, respectfulness, discretion, responsibility and dependability. Supports the mission and vision of the facility.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse program.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical/hospital setting.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a nursing leadership/management position.
- Current LVN/LPN licensure in the State of Texas.
- At least one (1) year LVN/LPN experience in a clinic environment.
- Must possess and maintain a current LVN license to practice in Texas.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Five (5) years LVN/LPN experience.
- At least two (2) years LVN/LPN experience as a charge nurse or supervisor.
