RN/LPN - School Nurse (Mobile, AL )
We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support students in a school setting. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy working with children, prefer consistent schedules, and want to make a meaningful impact during the school year.
Position Overview
The School Nurse is responsible for delivering student care, responding to health needs, and supporting daily medical requirements within the school. Care is provided in alignment with nursing standards, physician orders, and school policies.
Schedule

Morning shift: 5:30 AM - 8:30 AM

Afternoon shift: 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Work both shifts = Guaranteed 6 hours of pay per day

30 hours per week

10-month contract

Minimum Requirements
-
Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN/LVN program
-
Active nursing license in AL
-
One year of experience preferred
-
Current CPR
-
PPD or chest X-ray if applicable

Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Key Responsibilities

Provide daily student care and medication administration

Support students with chronic conditions or special needs

Respond to injuries, illnesses, and emergencies

Communicate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers

Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
