School Nurse (1:1 Support)
School Year: 2026-2027 Schedule: Monday-Friday, aligned with the school calendar Starting Pay: $33/hour Location: Lake Elsinore, CA
Position Overview
Amergis is seeking a compassionate, reliable School Nurse to provide 1:1 medical support for a student with special needs . This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working in a school environment, values routine, and thrives in a supportive team setting.
You will work closely with site staff, the district nursing team, and the student's family to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality care throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct 1:1 medical support to a student with specialized health needs

Monitor the student's health status and respond promptly to changes

Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and district protocols

Maintain accurate and confidential health documentation

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and district nurses
-
Support safe participation in classroom activities, transitions, and school routines

Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding health concerns

Follow all district, state, and federal health guidelines
Qualifications

Current California LVN or RN license (district may specify preference)

CPR/First Aid certification

Experience working with children or students preferred

Pediatric or special-needs experience strongly preferred

Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive throughout the school day

Strong communication and documentation skills
