Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 School Nurse to provide individualized nursing care to a student in a school-based setting. This role is ideal for a licensed nurse who has experience supporting students with medical needs while promoting safety, inclusion, and academic success.
As a 1:1 School Nurse, you will work directly with a student throughout the school day, ensuring their medical needs are met and collaborating with school staff to maintain a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 nursing care to a student during the school day

Monitor student health status and respond to medical needs as they arise

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and care plans

Assist with daily health-related needs, including bathroom or personal care support when required

Maintain accurate medical documentation and reports

Communicate with school staff, parents/guardians, and supervisors regarding student care

Ensure compliance with school health policies and confidentiality regulations

Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment
Required Qualifications:

Active and valid nursing license (LVN/LPN or RN, as applicable)

Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred

Comfortable providing 1:1 care and personal assistance as needed

Knowledge of student health plans and emergency response procedures

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Reliable, professional, and student-focused approach to care
