Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge RN - Med Surg/Tele (Unit 3/South) for our day shift at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital. Key Responsibilities

Coordinate, plan, and direct the operations of the nursing unit for your assigned shift.

Deliver both direct and indirect patient care, responding promptly and precisely to alterations in patient condition.

Communicate effectively with Physicians, Nursing Unit Directors, and co-workers about patient clinical conditions.

Prepare monthly work schedules, daily patient assignments, and manage break and meal period schedules.

Supervise and delegate work to unit employees, ensuring efficient staffing levels.

Conduct interviews for unit positions, evaluate probationary employees, and perform annual employee evaluations.

Resolve conflicts among unit employees and address complaints from patients, families, and physicians.

Ensure narcotics and controlled substances are counted and locked per hospital policy.

Assist the Unit Director with special projects and the management of the unit's Quality Improvement Plan.

Perform comprehensive assessments and formulate individualized care plans for patients of all ages.

Demonstrate knowledge of medication administration, critical thinking, and cardiac monitoring.

Educate patients and families on pain management and provide care for patients with complex health needs.
Qualifications
Education
Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years RN experience in acute care.
-
Preferred 1 year of experience as a Charge Nurse.

Preferred 1 year of Telemetry experience.
License/Certification:
