About The Job:
This position is responsible for promoting improved patient care outcomes through coordinating effective orientation, education, evaluation and ongoing development of all support, technical and nursing colleagues. This is accomplished through a combination of direct patient care and unit based education responsibilities (approximately 50/50). This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of a program in professional nursing required

Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa, or qualified multi-state license, required.

BSN required, or complete within 5 years.

Certification in area of practice (i.e. CCRN) (from the Magnet approved certification s list), preferred.

Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current.

Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse required within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years. status.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years professional nursing experience required.
Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of the nursing care setting.
