Job Description:
Assists with and assesses laboratory and radiology screenings. Maintains accurate and complete Employee Health records, promoting confidentiality and documenting clearly and concisely. Works under standing orders from the Medical Director to perform various clinical duties. Maintains knowledge of required immunizations for healthcare workers in a hospital setting, adhering to policies and procedures. Performs proper and legible documentation for orders, procedures, and assessments. Follows CDC isolation guidelines, infection control practices, and appropriate use of PPE, performing handwashing according to policy and enforcing safety regulations. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to function independently within the established policy and procedure guidelines and standing orders.

Knowledge of EMR system of record keeping for employee medical records. Performs daily EMR report checks for accurate data entry, scanning, and charges.

Ability to facilitate processing employees from new hire to annual compliance. Ability to accurately take height, weight, blood pressure, vision, and color screening. Performs diagnostic testing according to OSHA testing guidelines and AdventHealth policy.

Demonstrates the ability to administer medication provided in the Employee Health Department.

Demonstrates 100% compliance with mandatory meetings through attendance, written testing or make-up sessions and assumes personal responsibility for on-going education and professional development.

Demonstrates a working knowledge of hospital/departmental policies and procedures regarding Employee Health and workers' compensation.

Demonstrates a complete understanding of hospital fire and safety procedures; yearly reviews the fire and safety procedure as outlined in the Safety and Emergency Management Manual.

Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to apply occupational health regulation principles and practices. Strives to keep current regarding Federal and State regulations affecting occupational health and workers' compensation practices.

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all things.

Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth Clinic operation.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Performing pre-placement physical examinations and drug screens.
-
Administering IM, Sub-Q, and intradermal injections.

Performing phlebotomy.
-
Demonstrating ability to use various computer programs.
-
Demonstrating knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and The Joint Commission (TJC) employee health requirements.

Vaccine administration.

Workers' compensation case management.

Proficient and possess current working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet.

Must be proficient in the English language.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, inter-personal and organizational skills.

Job duties require self-motivation and persistence; along with strict, self-imposed time management and using discernment when prioritizing projects and daily workload.
