At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a RN to join our team in the Infusion suite.
The primary responsibility of the RN is:

Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and their clinical condition.

Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates the effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching as appropriate.

Demonstrates an ability to assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills.

Demonstrates the ability to perform treatments/infusions and provide services to level licensure.

Accurately records, handles and labels specimens; demonstrates care of specimens
-
Appropriately responds to the patient in an emergency or physically distressful situation.
-
Documentation meets current standards, policies and procedures and is completed within a shift.
-
Ability to perform waived testing (point-of-care testing) per Clinical Laboratory's and the patient care unit's policies and procedures.

Ability to interpret results of waived tests; take appropriate action on waived test results.
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
-
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

2 years' experience in a related field
-
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification preferred, but onsite training available.

Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice.

Current AHA BLS certification.
