About Teaching Services
The Teaching Services Department supports nursing and clinical excellence across inpatient and outpatient settings through orientation, ongoing education, competency validation, and professional development programs.
The Teaching Services Coordinator plays a vital role in onboarding new hires, supporting clinical skill development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of lifelong learning aligned with Trinity Health standards.
Position Purpose
The Teaching Services Coordinator provides clinical education, training coordination, and professional development support for nursing and interdisciplinary staff. This role ensures clinical staff are prepared to deliver safe, evidence-based care while meeting organizational, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
You will collaborate closely with nursing leadership, unit-based educators, and clinical teams to support orientation, competency assessment, and continued education initiatives throughout the organization.
What You Will Do

Coordinate and deliver clinical education programs for nursing and clinical staff

Support onboarding and orientation for new hires, including competency validation

Facilitate skills training, simulation, and classroom-based education

Ensure compliance with NYS regulations, Trinity Health standards, and accreditation requirements

Serve as a clinical resource and educator for evidence-based practice and policy adherence

Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify learning needs and develop education plans

Assist with annual skills days, mandatory education, and continuing education tracking

Evaluate education outcomes and contribute to quality and patient safety initiatives

Support professional development, clinical ladder advancement, and specialty certification efforts

Minimum Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
-
Current New York State RN license
-
Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience ; educator or preceptor experience preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required

Demonstrated strengths in teaching, communication, and clinical judgment

Strong organizational and presentation skills

Commitment to ongoing education and professional nursing practice
Pay Range: Starting at $43.10/hour
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
