How you'll make an impact in this role
Ascension is seeking a full-time APRN or PA with hematology/oncology experience to join Dell Children's Medical Center. In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide specialized inpatient medical services to pediatric hematology/oncology patients.

Deliver specialized inpatient care by conducting thorough histories, physical assessments, and clinical observations tailored to the unique needs of pediatric hematology/oncology patients.

Formulate precise treatment strategies by ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, ensuring timely and accurate interventions for complex blood disorders and cancers.

Empower families and caregivers through compassionate counseling and education regarding preventative health, specialized treatment options, and vital community resources.

Coordinate holistic patient support by managing health conditions directly and facilitating seamless referrals to specialized healthcare providers and support networks.

Document the complete patient journey with precision, maintaining accurate and high-quality medical records in accordance with specialty standards and network policies.

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
