Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Surgical Neuro Trauma ICU Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct nursing care to neurology, neurosurgical, Level I trauma, and general surgery patients in this 32-bed Intensive Care Unit. You will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.
Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient. Represents the organization in a positive manner. Applies negotiation and conflict management strategies.

Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient. Documents the nursing care plan and incorporates the nursing process following the standard of care for patient care area. Documents changes in patient condition and response to interventions within established timeframes.

Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues. Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command. Assumes accountability for decisions made.

Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices. Uses knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs.

Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.

Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Registered Nurse (RN): AZ or Compact license

One (1) year Registered Nurse (RN) experience

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Diploma, or foreign equivalent

$35.00 - $58.63 /hour
