We are hiring for a full time Nurse Manager to lead our Emergency Department. This position plays the important role of keeping the Emergency Department flowing.
The Center for Emergency Care at PMC provides state-of-the-art emergency medicine, treating patients with any medical problems that cannot wait to be seen by their regular doctor, as well as severe and life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The Center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is staffed around-the-clock by board-certified emergency medicine physicians, physician assistant's/nurse practitioners, registered nurses who are trained in trauma, emergency care and disaster preparedness, and patient care technicians.
Our Nurse Managers are responsible for visioning, overseeing, planning, organizing, evaluating and management of the unit budge, quality improvement plan, resource utilization, human resource management, unit staffing plan, risk management and patient satisfaction.
Ideal candidates must have current management experience.
Responsibilities:
Creates a customer-friendly environment consistent with the Medical Center at Princeton's patient-care model.
Demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, their families, guests, representatives, as well as fellow employees, volunteers and medical staff. Supports the Medical Center's mission to provide consistent quality health care services in a professional, caring and responsive environment.
Assumes 24-hour accountability for unit functioning according to Medical Center at Princeton standards.
Review the unit's performance in relation to established goals implement change to effect continual improvement in the service provided and assure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Makes daily, patient rounds and communicates necessary information to Team Leaders to ensure high quality patient care.
Through delegation ensure appropriate selection, training and supervision of patient care team.
Supports chain of communication through team structure.
Facilitates leadership roles of professional and support staff.
Evaluate performance of teams to ensure quality of service and technical expertise.
Provide consultation, counsel, mentoring, and guidance for Team Coordinators and encourage participation in development of unit objectives.
Oversees QI program to ensure consistency with organization policies, procedure, and philosophy.
Interprets and effects administrative policy and procedures for unit management.
Develops unit budget for staffing and capital expenses and ensures that the unit operates within allocated funds.
Assure proper maintenance of patient medical record and confidential treatment of patient information.
Maintain required unit records, reports, and statistics for administrative purposes and budget preparation.
Maintain professional growth and development through formal education, seminars, workshops, professional affiliations, and encourage staff to do the same.
Utilize personnel efficiently and assure cost-effective utilization of supplies.
Oversees hiring, disciplinary/counseling, commendation and termination processes in accordance with Medical Center at Princeton policy.
Mentors growth and development of all direct reports.
Works collaboratively with other department directors to ensure high quality patient care.
Performs in Administrative Coordinator's roles as assigned and in accordance with Medical Center at Princeton policy.
Accountable for improving patient care through adherence to all patient safety and quality standards, regulations, and best practices.

Salary Range:
$111,235.49 - $173,928.77/Annually based on 40 hours per week
