Licensed Vocational Nurse-Women's Health
About the Opportunity
Martin Luther King, Jr. Hospital is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join its ambulatory care team. This position supports patients in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment, providing direct patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in delivering quality services across primary care, pediatrics, women's health, and specialty care settings.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with patient care activities in an ambulatory clinic setting.

Obtain and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Screen patients for pain and communicate findings to the nursing team.

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including ambulation, positioning, bathing, dressing, and toileting.

Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests.

Monitor and document patient intake and output.

Observe patients for changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff.

Document patient observations, complaints, and symptoms accurately.

Reinforce medication and nutritional supplement reminders as directed.

Assist with patient rounding and overall clinic flow.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and caregivers to support patient care plans.

Review dietary restrictions, allergies, and patient preferences to ensure appropriate care.
Required Qualifications
-
Current California Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, or community health setting.

Experience supporting primary care and pediatric patient populations.

Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology.

Bilingual in Spanish and English.

This is a Contract position based out of Compton, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
