Manager Nurse- Med Surg-Gastrointestinal(GI):

Demonstrates proficiency in all Quality leadership skills. Manages the care of a patient population and practices expert critical thinking skills when in the clinical setting.

Assumes 24-hour responsibility for a patient care unit and acts as liaison between patients, team members, physicians, other customers, and administration.

Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of RN clinical experience, plus one of the following:
-
2 years of healthcare leadership experience, or
-
1 year of nursing leadership experience with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and professional RN certification, or
-
2 years of experience as a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner or Clinical Educator and 6 months as an Assistant Nurse Manager
Licensure & Certifications:
-
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
-
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred (unit-specific)

Nursing specialty certification preferred
