Overview
Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services.
Responsibilities
Become a CNA with Central Maine Medical Center's CNA Earn to Learn Program!
Participates in the CNA Training course approved by the Facility. Participates in classroom, lab, and clinical instruction to meet the criteria to sit for the State Certification Exam. The training will enable care of patients throughout the lifespan, under the direction of a registered nurse. Introduction to the concepts of legal and ethical aspects of care, communication, documentation, and safety.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High School graduate or equivalent.
2. Completion of CNA course to qualify to sit for the CNA Certification in the State of Maine.
3. Must be enrolled in a CNA Training course approved by the Facility.
4. Current BLS certification is preferred.
5. Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages are preferred.
6. Basic computer knowledge required.
