Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is currently seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Quick Care unit in our Casper, WY location! Our mission is to provide affordable and high-quality patient care with a comprehensive range of health care services for residents of Central Wyoming, regardless of income, treating all patients with compassion, dignity, and respect.
In Casper, our Quick Care urgent care provides convenient, walk-in service with no appointment needed, Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. This position is an as needed position working less than 20 hours/week. We treat non-life-threatening conditions with shorter wait times and less cost than a visit to the emergency room. Laboratory, x-ray, and pharmacy service are available on-site.
Work is performed in a typical outpatient clinic environment and periodically at locations outside the office. Some travel may be required, as we have other rural health clinics located throughout central Wyoming.
Sensitivity to the Needs of Special Populations:
•Ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively and sensitively to special population groups served by CHCCW (special population groups include, but is not limited to, those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, sexual orientation, economic standing, disabilities, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
•Must be a graduate of a recognized and accredited training program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants
•Must be able to demonstrate competency in the clinic skills necessary to perform a range of primary care services
•Licensure by the State of Wyoming and by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is required
This position requires successful completion of substance abuse testing as a condition of employment.
