Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Emergency Services at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will take a leadership role in our dynamic and highly challenging Emergency Services Department, which is located in a Level One Trauma Center. You'll assess patient/family health, develop comprehensive nursing care plans, and provide evidence-based direct care to acutely ill patients across the entire lifespan (neonates to geriatrics), handling everything from minor to life-threatening situations.
Every day you will prioritize and organize patient care, acting as a patient advocate, swiftly adapting to changing conditions, and utilizing SBAR for effective communication. You'll complete nurse-to-nurse reports, participate in quality improvement, delegate tasks, and involve patients/families in their care through therapeutic communication. Our department offers a rewarding environment with state-of-the-art equipment, board-certified staff, and self-scheduling.
To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication, computer proficiency, and the ability to collaborate and utilize resources are essential for this dynamic role, which involves heavy physical demands.

Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients

Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient's condition as needed.

Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs.

Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner

Delegate tasks based on the needs of the patient, potential for harm, patient stability, task complexity, and outcome predictability within the scope of skill set and practice

Pay Range
$35.00 - $58.63 /hour
