The Emergency Department Float Pool offers employees the opportunity to experience different Emergency Departments while serving various communities in the Greater Orlando area.

24-hour on-call physician coverage for emergency and trauma specialties.

Chest Pain Center teams at many of our locations are uniquely trained to stop a heart attack in minutes, when treatment is most crucial to saving lives.

Advanced clinical care delivered with compassion and coordinated communication to patients and family members.

Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient conditions and needs.

Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address identified patient needs and goals.

Administer medications accurately and appropriately as ordered, monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions as necessary.

Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Provide patient and family education about the care plan, medications, procedures, and other relevant information to ensure understanding and compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes.

Basic computer skills - must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs.

Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills).
-
1 year of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
-
Equipment use to stabilize and monitor patients (IV insertion, central lines, pulse ox, NG tubes, Foley, chest tubes, hemodynamics monitoring), including electronic medical record and automated dispensing medication system (pyxis).
