The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

Details of Assignment:
Working in crisis stabilization center otherwise known as a BHCC. Supporting individuals going through some sort of mental health or substance abuse crisis. Must be compassionate, willing to work as a tea, willing to be adaptable to different personalities and work effectively in the environment. need to have a cool head under pressure. ability to chart consistently, support needs as they arise, ability to deescalate situations and provide appropriate care.

Orientation:
Expectations is one week in class (its shorter), M-F 8AM-5PM. must attend and be able to attend all those dates.
Orientation Schedule: 5.18 in Brunswick, or 6.8 in Savannah.
File due Wednesday at noon before orientation or will be moved to next orientation.
First Day Instructions:
Arrive on time at minimum. Be prepared for classroom environment for first couple days. Must be attentive and engaged. must be present.
