Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Resource Coordinator RN, you will orchestrate diverse professional nursing services, ensuring quality patient care aligns with regulatory requirements and scope of practice. You are responsible for collaboratively developing, implementing, and assessing patient care plans while optimizing resource allocation.
Every day you will utilize critical thinking to assess patient needs, coordinate care, and strategically delegate tasks, often managing complex situations. You will continuously educate patients, families, and staff, implementing effective interventions and streamlining processes for optimal outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership and accountability for care quality, with authority to direct care, allocate resources, and manage team performance efficiently. Your expertise in perioperative care and coordinating complex care across departments will be essential.

Communicate with provider, clinic team members or other stakeholders to plan for upcoming procedures.

Assist with team education and strategic planning for equipment and supplies related to the service line.

Meet with physicians during hire and onboarding to determine needs and preferences.

Coordinate communication regarding and update physician preference cards in electronic format.

Work with vendors to notify them of procedural needs, purchase requests, quotes and other topics.
Job Requirements

Nursing experience demonstrating teaching, leadership & teamwork qualities to include knowledge of AORN & Joint Commission standards, upon hire

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
Pay Range
$36.94 - $53.56 /hour
