Advanced Heart Rhythm Care in Los Angeles
When heart rhythm abnormalities occur, cardiac electrophysiology plays a critical role in diagnosing and treating arrhythmias. At the Smidt Heart Institute, our electrophysiology specialists provide comprehensive care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders, offering advanced therapies such as catheter ablation and cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) management through a personalized, evidence-based approach.
Under the supervision of a Cardiac Electrophysiologist and within the scope of practice and clinical privileges of the Advanced Practice Provider, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides specialized care for patients with cardiac electrophysiology conditions. This includes the evaluation, management, and treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and other complex arrhythmias. The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the electrophysiology patient workup and continuum of care, collaborating closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

- One year of experience as a NP or PA-C in Cardiac Electrophysiology, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias.
