Educate patients and document all clinical information in the medical record

Review patient history and collect current health information

Obtain vital signs for each patient

Chaperone provider visits when required

Perform point‑of‑care testing and enter results into the EMR
-
Prepare lab requisitions and ensure accurate documentation
-
Coordinate home care and physical therapy orders as directed by the provider
-
Process prescription requests via phone or electronic systems
-
Respond to patient or caregiver calls and document communication in the EMR
-
Retrieve lab, imaging, and specialty reports as needed
-
Prepare exam rooms and assist patients before provider encounters
-
Administer ordered treatments including medications, dressings, specimen collection, immunizations, IVs, and suture removal

Primary care experience is preferred

Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment

Current Virginia state license or North Carolina license as a Licensed Practical Nurse

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Working in a fast paced primary care office, seeing an average of 18 patients per provider.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elizabeth City, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
