Job Summary and Qualifications
The RN Manager Moncks Corner ER ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the department. The ER Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives
What qualifications you will need:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
·Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse License
·BLS - Healthcare provider on hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
·ACLS (American Heart Association) or ALS (American Red Cross) Certification on hire or within 3 months of hire or transfer date
·PALS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Certification on hire or within 3 months of hire or transfer date
·NRP (MCMC,CPMC) Certification on hire or within 6 months of hire or transfer
· CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification on hire or within 6 months of hire or transfer date
·NIH Stroke Scale Certification must be complete within 90 days of hire.
B. Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Preferred degree can substitute for one (1) years of the required experience.
C. Experience: Recent experience in ED preferred. Recent nursing practice, with experience in a nursing leadership position preferred. Physically and mentally capable to satisfy job requirements. Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient/internal & external customer. Performs in accordance with delineated job responsibilities and satisfactorily completes a yearly evaluation based on these responsibilities.
