PeaceHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in Thoracic Surgery at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington.

Participate in clinic (preoperative and postoperative evaluation) of thoracic patients.

Participate in hospital rounds.

Perform inpatient consults.

Assist in surgery (open, thoracoscopic, robotic)

Perform procedures (chest tube placement, removal, thoracentesis, placing sutures and suture removal).

Write orders, complete accurate documentation.

Take call with the Thoracic Surgeon.

Patient education and counseling focusing on thoracic and pulmonary pathology and treatment.
Join a team multispecialty group with established general and bariatric surgeons and advanced practice clinicians as well as a breast surgeon, vascular surgeons, and trauma surgeons. PeaceHealth also has a strong primary care base.
