We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with recovery nursing experience to support gastroenterology endoscopy suites within the Seaford, NY area. This role is responsible for providing high-quality patient care throughout the recovery process while supporting procedural and post-anesthesia care operations in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, patient-focused, and willing to support multiple endoscopy suite locations as needed.
Location: Seaford, NY
Position type: Temp/contract role (possible temp-hire)
Schedule: Fully On-Site | Monday - Friday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Option for 4-Day Work Week Available
Pay Rate: $ 47.37/hour
Primary Responsibilities

Provide recovery nursing care for patients undergoing gastroenterology and endoscopy procedures

Monitor patient condition during post-procedure recovery and assess patient stability

Administer medications and treatments as ordered

Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to support safe patient care

Educate patients and families regarding recovery instructions and discharge care

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and clinical protocols

Respond appropriately to patient care needs and changes in patient condition

Support efficient patient flow within outpatient procedural settings
Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Previous Recovery Nursing experience required

Experience working in gastroenterology, endoscopy, PACU, or procedural recovery environments preferred
