Minimum 4 years of RN experience
-
BSN preferred.
-
Current RN license (state or compact).
-
CPR certification (AHA standard) within 30 days of hire.

UPMC-approved nursing certification within 1 year, or Master's in Nursing/DNP to substitute.

Annual completion of a professional contribution approved by Unit Director.

Demonstrated ability to provide age-specific, patient-centered care across the lifespan.

Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Physical stamina for walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Current RN License
-
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) w/in 1 year of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) w/in 60 days of hire
-
NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) w/in 6 months of hire
-
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) w/in 1 year of hire

Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
-
Act 33 with renewal
-
Act 34 with renewal
-
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
