Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
This is a LDRP unit (labor, deliver, recover and postpartum): 7 bed Labor & Delivery rooms and Simply Birth, 9 Mom/baby or triage rooms, 4 bed Special Care Nursey (SCN); Community Level 1 hospital delivering down to 35 weeks gestational age. Patient Population: >20 week gestation age -> delivery, SCN resuscitation, 35wk > newborn, Readmit newborns
