Horizons Residential Care Center (HRCC) is a nonprofit Intermediate Care Facility providing 24-hour residential support to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our PRN nurses help maintain consistent, person-centered care in a structured, lower-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care in a residential / ICF setting
Administer and document medications per physician orders
Complete accurate documentation in Therap and EMR systems
Monitor resident conditions and report changes appropriately
Perform controlled medication counts and report discrepancies
Collaborate with DSPs, Medication Technicians, and nursing leadership
Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies
Qualifications
Required
Current, valid LPN license in the State of North Carolina
Strong communication and documentation skills
Comfort with electronic medical records
Valid NC driver’s license
Preferred
Experience in residential, long-term care, pediatrics, or ICF settings
Current CPR/BLS certification
Scheduling
PRN / As Needed
Shift availability discussed during interview process.
