Now Hiring: Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) - Indianapolis, IN. Ghost RX is actively seeking 6 Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with phlebotomy experience to support the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center and the surrounding Community Based Outpatient Clinics serving Indiana Veterans. The first week of training will be held at the main VA campus. The following 5 weeks of training will take place at any one of the following VA outpatient clinics (your choice): Lafayette, Bloomington, or Terre Haute. On September 14th, all contract staff will be assigned to the outpatient clinic located in Brownsburg, IN for the duration of the assignment. There is also a need for a CNA at the Shelbyville, IN location. CNAs will be incentivized during the training period to drive to the assigned training locations.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week contract opportunity offering federal credentialing support, malpractice coverage with tail, paid federal holidays, and dedicated recruiter support throughout the assignment. Qualification and Requirements

1 year of CNA experience
-
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
-
Phlebotomy experience
-
Two forms of government-issued identification, one being a photo ID (Passport or REAL ID)

Reliable transportation
-
Ability to pass a federal background investigation and meet VA credentialing requirements
-
Compliance with the VA seasonal influenza vaccination policy
-
Proficiency in spoken and written English per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f)
Responsibilities
-
Collect, label, store, and transport blood samples to the laboratory for analysis in accordance with VA and facility protocols
-
Perform venipuncture and capillary draws on Veteran patients while ensuring proper specimen integrity and accurate patient identification

Verify patient identity using two identifiers and confirm test orders prior to specimen collection

Check and document patient vital signs and report abnormal findings to the registered nurse or provider

Assist nursing staff and providers with patient care activities and clinic flow as directed

Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam and phlebotomy rooms to ensure they are ready for patient use

Follow infection prevention, safety, and standard precaution procedures, including proper handling and disposal of sharps and biohazard materials

Maintain accurate documentation of specimen collection and patient interactions in the VA electronic health record (CPRS)

Protect the confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA and VA privacy policies

Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary care team and clinic staff

Adhere to all VA policies, Joint Commission standards, and applicable federal regulations
