Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - School Setting
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support student health and wellness in a school environment. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care, promoting a safe and healthy school setting, and supporting students' physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The RN will respond to medical needs, manage chronic conditions, and collaborate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal student care.
Schedule:
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to students in accordance with professional standards and physician orders

Assess, monitor, and manage acute and chronic health conditions

Respond to medical emergencies and implement appropriate interventions

Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers
-
Promote student wellness through education and preventative care

Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with all regulations
Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
-
School nursing, pediatric, or public health experience preferred
-
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)

School Nurse Certification (if required by state or contract)
-
Current CPR certification (if applicable)

TB screening or chest x-ray (if required)
-
Current health certificate (per state or contract requirements)

Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
