As a Care Coordinator for the business you would help individuals maximize their health and quality of life through healthcare benefits. This is a contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join a team dedicated to supporting health and wellness through comprehensive member management programs.
Contract Duration: 6 Months Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree
-
Experience in case management, utilization review, and care coordination.

Active License in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN)

State of Alabama licensure as a Registered Nurse OR Multi-State licensure as a Registered Nurse (Compact)

Minimum of three years of clinical experience in medical/surgical health care fields, a psychiatric, and/or an obstetrical setting

Effective verbal and written communication skills with providers, subscribers and group representatives

Experience analyzing and making informed decisions in an autonomous setting

Experience in a position interpreting and communicating information orally and written with all levels of staff internal and external

Experience in a position requiring independent decision making skills

Willingness to work a flexible schedule in order to provide telephone coverage

Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time as needed
Desired Skills & Experience

Experience in a position using negotiation skills preferred

Experience in a position presenting information in formal and informal settings preferred

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, and administer activities related to Member Management Programs.

Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare delivery system and group representatives.

Conduct individual member assessments and coordinate case management activities.

Evaluate member needs and develop alternative treatment plans to maximize contract benefits and provide quality care.

Interpret and communicate information orally and in writing with internal and external staff.

Analyze information and make informed decisions independently and autonomously.

Present information in formal and informal settings (preferred).

Utilize negotiation skills in member management activities (preferred).

Work a flexible schedule to provide telephone coverage as needed.

Travel up to 10% of the time to fulfill job responsibilities.

Maintain licensure and participate in ongoing education.

Collaborate with providers, subscribers, and group representatives to support health and wellness services.
