Position Summary
The Nursing Leader (RN) plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the clinical and resident care services of Historic Homes of Runnemede (HHR) to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compassionate resident-centered care. This position provides nursing oversight in accordance with Vermont Residential Care Home regulations and supports a home-like environment that promotes resident dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life.
The Nursing Leader serves as the primary clinical leader for the organization and is responsible for nursing oversight, medication management, clinical staffing, regulatory compliance, staff development, and care coordination. This role partners closely with the Director to support strong clinical outcomes, operational excellence, and a culture of compassionate care. Ensures residents receive safe, high-quality care through strong clinical oversight, sound judgment, and individualized service planning. Leads and supports nursing, medication, and direct care staff through effective staffing, education, accountability, and mentorship. Promotes regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support resident wellness and organizational success
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors or Master’s Degree preferred. 3–5 years of successful practice as a Registered Nurse. Supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
Current licensure in the State of Vermont.
