Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient Pacemaker/Device Clinic. In this specialized role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with implanted cardiac devices, including pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders. You will work closely with electrophysiologists and a multidisciplinary team to support patient monitoring, education, and ongoing device management.

What you will do :

Perform in-clinic and remote device checks/interrogations for pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices

Analyze and interpret device data, identifying abnormalities such as arrhythmias, battery status, and lead integrity issues

Collaborate with electrophysiologists and cardiologists to adjust device settings based on patient condition and provider recommendations

Monitor remote transmissions and respond to alerts in a timely manner

Educate patients and families on device function, care, and troubleshooting

Provide pre- and post-procedure support for device implantation or follow-up visits

Document findings, care plans, and patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

Coordinate care and follow-ups, including scheduling device checks and ensuring continuity of care

Triage patient concerns related to cardiac devices and symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, or syncope

Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, quality initiatives, and regulatory standards

Support clinic operations, including workflow efficiency and patient throughput
What you will need:

A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
-
BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire

Current Registered Nurse License State of Illinois

1-2 years of previous experience in a clinical setting.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $35.89 - $62.91per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
