? About the Role
The School Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in supporting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students. You'll respond to medical needs, manage chronic conditions, promote health and safety, and serve as a trusted liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers. This is a meaningful, relationship-driven role where your clinical expertise directly impacts student success.
You'll deliver care in alignment with Amergis Healthcare standards, district policies, and physician orders - ensuring every student receives safe, compassionate, and individualized support.
?? What You'll Do

Apply the full nursing process in a school setting

Promote student health, safety, and wellness

Respond to medical emergencies and urgent health needs

Manage chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizure disorders)

Provide medication administration and treatment per physician orders

Support students' emotional and mental well-being

Communicate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers

Maintain documentation in accordance with district and Amergis standards
?? Minimum Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment

Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred

School Nurse Certification (if required by state/contract)

One year of school nursing, public health, or pediatric experience preferred

CPR certification (if applicable)

TB test or chest X-ray (as required)

Health certificate (as required)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
