Things To Discuss

Floating between homes - Each nurse will have a primary home to cover but will often be asked to float between 2-3 homes on campus.

Med Pass - Each home will have only 8-14 residents. Cencus is not high but it can be HEAVY MED PASS depending on the home.

Paper Charting - Tacachale does still use paper charting. This can sometimes be a problem for younger nurses, but they have to be okay with this

Incident Reporting - Tacachale does see a high volume of incident reports for patients. Please make sure nurses are aware of this and okay filling these out.

Residents - Primarily residents are 55+ with varying disabilities. Many of them may not be mobile and are non-verbal, so prep them for that.

G-Tube / Trach - 3 of the 17 homes on campus are medically intensive and will require experience working with G-Tube/Trach patients. (No Vents).

Break - A 30 minute break is automatically taken out each day for lunch. Not a lot of time to leave so staff would need to be okay bringing lunch and eating on site
