Position Overview
School LVNs provide direct nursing care and health support services to students within the school environment. Nurses may be assigned to support general student populations or medically fragile students, depending on district needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

G-tube care and feedings
-
Seizure monitoring and intervention
-
Diabetic care and blood glucose monitoring
-
Medication administration and documentation
-
Catheter care
-
Student health assessments and monitoring
-
Maintenance of student health records
-
Collaboration with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
-
Compliance with district policies and healthcare regulations
Minimum Requirements
-
Active California LVN License
-
Current BLS Certification
-
Ability to work effectively in a school-based environment
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous school nursing experience
-
Pediatric nursing experience
-
Experience working with medically complex or medically fragile children
