**POSITION DETAILS**
The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing (HBSON) at Hunter College is the flagship nursing school of the City University of New York (CUNY) and prepares collaborative nurse leaders promoting wellness and championing health equity in local and global communities through excellence in education, research, scholarship, and advocacy. The HBSON invites innovative and visionary nurse leaders to apply for the exciting position of the Evelyn Lauder Associate Dean for Nurse Practitioner Programs (Lauder Associate Dean). We are seeking a strong, experienced leader to serve in this important administrative role, which reports directly to the Dean and is a key member of the School Executive Leadership Team.
The Lauder Associate Dean will provide visionary leadership in developing and implementing innovative advanced practice nursing graduate programs and curricula, as well as our groundbreaking Evelyn Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Program . Responsibilities include advanced practice nursing student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, progression, graduation, and advisement; faculty and staff mentorship; assessment and outcomes evaluation; and engagement with academic practice partners as well as internal and external stakeholders. In collaboration with the Dean, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Executive Leadership Team, the Lauder Associate Dean will play an essential role in long range planning, program review, faculty workload, and budget, with accountability for accreditation, regulatory, and policy compliance related to advanced practice nursing graduate programs.
The Lauder Associate Dean will actively engage with our vibrant academic community and contribute to our mission of excellence in nursing education. The essential functions of this key administrative position include in-person attendance at school, college, and other meetings that require a physical presence on campus, as well as other activities and related responsibilities as assigned that advance our school's mission and strategic goals.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
This 12-month administrative position is in the CUNY Executive Compensation Plan (ECP). All executive positions require a minimum of a bachelor's degree and eight years of related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the School of Nursing.
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field; research doctorate preferred. If earned doctorate is not in nursing, must have a master's degree in nursing.
- New York State license as a registered nurse required or following hire.
- New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) Licensure or following hire, particularly Adult/Gerontology, Family, or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- National Nurse Practitioner Specialty Board Certification required, particularly Adult/Gerontology, Family, or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in academic leadership or administrative roles in higher education.
- Academic teaching and graduate nursing education experience required.
- Accreditation and/or curriculum development experience is beneficial.
- Nationally recognized expertise in advanced practice nursing and active involvement in professional organizations required.
- Five (5) years of advanced nursing practice experience required.
- Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and team building skills with varied internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical skills pertinent to outcomes assessment and budget planning.
- Academic teaching, scholarship, and nursing practice experience should align with the School mission and strategic goals.
- Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other software systems.

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
Salary commensurate with education and experience ($175,000 - $220,000).
