Position Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to students in accordance with nursing standards and school policies.

Assess, monitor, and respond to student health concerns, illnesses, and injuries.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, and seizure disorders.

Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.

Maintain accurate health records and documentation.

Collaborate with families, school personnel, and healthcare providers to support student well-being.

Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.

Support the physical, emotional, and mental health needs of students.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN)
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current, active LPN license in North Carolina.
All Candidates

School nursing, pediatric, public health, or related experience preferred.

Current CPR certification (if required).

Ability to comply with all professional standards of practice.

Current TB screening and health documentation as required.

Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
