The Role
As an Ambulatory RN in the Family Medicine Primary Care Center , you will play a critical role in coordinating care, supporting providers, and ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment throughout their healthcare journey. The position offers a 40-hour work week with flexible scheduling options , including opportunities for four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts with remote flexibilit y based on operational needs.
A typical day may include:

Managing patient communications through in-basket workflows - including prescription refills, patient calls, result reviews, and MyChart messages.

Conducting nurse visits and utilizing strong assessment and critical thinking skills to address patient needs.

Preparing charts and coordinating care plans for pediatric, OB, medication-assisted treatment, weight management, and other primary care services.

Supporting clinic operations and partnering with medical assistants, providers, and care team members to ensure efficient patient flow.

Educating patients and families while helping them navigate their care plans and treatment goals.

Building relationships with patients from a wide range of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease
The pay range for this role is $37.51 - $49.82 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
