Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery RN
Registered Nurse (L&D) Duties & Responsibilities:
-
RNs will be monitoring maternal and fetal status, interpreting fetal heart rate patterns, administering medications, managing and assisting with complicated labor and deliveries, and providing routine nursing interventions.

RNs will be providing triage assessment, responding to obstetric urgent, emergent and scheduled C-sections, post-op recovery, breastfeeding support, and neonatal resuscitation, supporting pain management strategies such as epidural care, providing education and emotional support to patients and families, and ensuring safe transitions to postpartum or newborn care.

RNs will provide comprehensive nursing care to women at various stages of pregnancy and labor in the Labor and Delivery unit.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Minimum of three (3) years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience in a Level I Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population.

AHA BLS/ACLS/NRP,
-
Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification,
-
NIHSS Certification,
-
MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City),

Must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date.

Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
