Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM
Pay : $91,000 - $118,000 per year based on experience, and education
Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager :

Lead and develop the nursing team.

Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain high-performing CVICU nurses.

Foster a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, accountability, and professional growth.

Ensure exceptional patient care.
-
Oversee the delivery of safe, evidence-based care for critically ill cardiovascular and post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
-
Monitor quality indicators, patient outcomes, and patient experience metrics.
-
Support advanced clinical practice.
-
Maintain staff competency in specialized therapies such as IABP, Impella, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive drips, and mechanical circulatory support.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Partner closely with cardiologists, intensivists, cardiothoracic surgeons, educators, and ancillary departments to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.

Manage unit operations.

Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, budgeting, and resource utilization.

Ensure regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and adherence to organizational policies.

Drive quality and safety initiatives.
Qualifications of the Nurse Manager :
-
BSN required
-
Must have and maintain Tennessee State registered nurse license.

3 years of experience in cardiovascular critical care and 2 years of some sort of leadership position

Critical Care experience required

Specialized Skills:
-
IABP (Intra?Aortic Balloon Pump)
-
Impella ventricular assist devices
-
Post-open heart and cardiac surgery patients
-
Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips
-
Advanced cardiac recovery and mechanical circulatory support
