Shift Details:

Licensed Practical Nurse Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Assist in evaluating medical services and preventing duplication or inappropriate use.
-
Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records.
-
Observe, document, and report inmate/resident behavior and medical conditions.
-
Inspect medical areas for contraband and safely secure or dispose of supplies and equipment.
-
Prepare, review, and maintain accurate medical, operational, statistical, and incident reports.
-
Interpret medical procedures, regulations, legal documents, and medical orders.
-
Assist with legal cases, chart reviews, court matters, and treatment coordination for serious health conditions.

Communicate effectively with staff, inmates/residents, families, visitors, and administration.
-
Support safety programs, emergency response, and NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO accreditation requirements.

Coordinate inmate/resident movement for medical treatment.

Assist with investigations by gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and documenting findings.

Perform security checks and maintain professionalism in hostile or challenging environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Current, valid, and unrestrictedTN license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

A degree from an accredited school of Nursing

Minimum of 1 yearof recent experience as aLPN.

Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (Healthcare Provider BLS certification; TB screening with negative PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT results; Hepatitis B Consent/Declination Form; and proof of Rubella, Rubeola, and Varicella vaccination or titers ).
