CNA II School Aide
We're seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA II to provide one-on-one support for a student in a school setting. This rewarding role allows you to make a direct impact on a student's educational experience by assisting with personal care, health-related needs, mobility, and participation in classroom activities. Location: Craven County School District
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Time: 7:50am-3:10pm
Position Summary
The CNA II 1:1 School Aide provides individualized support to a student throughout the school day under the supervision of the district school nurse or clinical designee. Responsibilities may include personal care, mobility assistance, health monitoring, behavioral support, and classroom participation assistance. This role requires a caring professional who can ensure the student's safety, comfort, dignity, and ability to fully engage in the educational environment.
Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support to students as assigned

Assist students with personal care needs

Support classroom activities and instructional programs

Assist with behavioral support and monitoring

Provide basic health services in the school clinic

Monitor and document student needs as required

Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and nursing personnel

Ensure student safety and well-being throughout the school day
Minimum Requirements
-
Current Certified Nursing Assistant II (CNA II) certification as required by state, contract, or client

Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR certification, if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable
-
Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulations)

Meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
