Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse (RN) to join an ambulatory healthcare team in Newport, New Hampshire.
Under the general supervision of clinical leadership, the Clinical Nurse applies the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The RN will use sound clinical judgment to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while working within the scope of practice established by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and communication skills, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Apply the nursing process when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
Conduct patient and family health assessments through face-to-face and telephone interactions.
Collect and analyze physical and psychosocial information to identify patient needs, problems, and trends.
Develop appropriate nursing assessments, interventions, and plans of care.
Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust the plan of care as appropriate.
Exercise professional nursing judgment when performing procedures and treatments, administering medications, and prioritizing patient acuity and workload.
Provide patient care demonstrating strong clinical knowledge, technical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Recognize changes in patient condition and take appropriate action.
Serve as a professional role model in the delivery of patient care.
Accurately document patient assessments, signs and symptoms, nursing interventions, instructions, and patient/family responses in the medical record.
Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.
Advocate for patients, families, groups, and communities.
Assist clinicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Serve as a nursing resource and provide guidance to other staff members.
Delegate duties appropriately in accordance with the New Hampshire Nurse Practice Act and professional nursing standards.
Promote effective collaboration among members of the healthcare team.
Support a positive work environment and participate in change initiatives.
Participate in quality improvement activities designed to improve patient outcomes, clinical processes, and team performance.
Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Current New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license - Required.
New Hampshire nursing licensure must be verifiable through Nursys.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience - Required.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
Knowledge of professional nursing standards and applicable scope-of-practice requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a physician practice, ambulatory care, outpatient clinic, or similar practice setting - Highly Preferred.
Experience providing telephone-based nursing assessment and patient education.
Experience working in a collaborative outpatient healthcare environment.

Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant nursing experience, credentials, and applicable organizational pay practices.
