Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a compassionate and clinically driven Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy outpatient Rheumatology practice in New York City. This provider will play a key role in the ongoing management of patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions, working closely with the Rheumatologist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate is comfortable managing chronic rheumatologic conditions, interpreting diagnostic studies, educating patients, and coordinating treatment plans. In this practice, NPs and PAs perform essentially the same day-to-day clinical responsibilities, with role differences based primarily on New York State regulatory requirements.
Skills and Requirements
NP or PA licensed in New York
Experience managing adult patients in an outpatient clinical setting
Rheumatology or Internal Medicine experience
Comfortable ordering/interpreting labs and diagnostics (CBC, CMP, ESR/CRP, ANA panels, RF/anti-CCP, imaging, etc.)
Experience prescribing and monitoring medications
Experience administering or managing infusions and lab follow-up
Strong patient education and triage skills
Comfortable seeing a high patient volume (approximately 16-22 patients/day)
Experience documenting visits and closing charts in an EMR
Experience with prior authorizations and insurance-related clinical paperwork
Willingness to learn joint injections if not already performing them
Active DEA registration
Biologic prior authorization experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
Active NYS Medicaid and Medicare enrollment
Experience with joint injections and aspirations
Infusion therapy experience
