Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs a Nurse Shift Manager, you'll oversee the Oncology department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
Some of your main responsibilites will be:
- Planning the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit during an assigned shift.
- Supervising nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level.
- Anticipating staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.
- Overseeing stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.

Job RequirementsEducation and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- 2 years of clinical experience as a RN
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current CA RN license
- BLS through American Heart Association
