Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Nurse Consultant to support attorneys in medical-legal cases. This hybrid role involves analyzing medical records, conducting research, coordinating expert witnesses, and assisting with case preparation and trial support. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records for completeness and relevance
- Identify missing documentation and additional records needed
- Develop clear summaries, chronologies, and timelines of medical events
- Provide clinical analysis and insights related to case issues
- Conduct research on medical literature to support case strategies
- Identify and collaborate with qualified medical experts
- Prepare expert witness materials, including summaries and case packets
- Coordinate and obtain medical exhibits for trial, including working with exhibit vendors
- Organize, label, and track radiology studies and related reports
- Assist with trial preparation and case development
- Attend physician interviews and depositions as needed
- Provide summaries and insights to attorneys following proceedings

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (BSN preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience; diverse clinical background preferred (nursing home experience a plus)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Experience conducting medical literature research preferred
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed
- Valid driver’s license required
