As a CNS for 4S Oncology unit we have an exciting opportunity for an advanced practice nurse to take a leadership role in designing, implementing and evaluating patient-specific and population-based programs of care at the unit based and system level.

You will work on a peer level with other Critical Care CNS, Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioners and Associate Directors.

Assume the role of leader, clinician, researcher, educator, patient care advocate, consultant, inter and intradepartmental liaison, and resource professional.

Interact directly with patients, families, and groups of patients to promote health or well-being and improve quality of life characterized by a holistic perspective in the advanced nursing management of health, illness, and disease states.

Maintain competency skills including the ability to deliver care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
License/Certification Requirements:

Valid California Registered Nurse license.

CNS certification by the CA Board of Registered Nursing.

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

National Specialty certification required (i.e. BMTCN or OCN)
Experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years recent acute RN experience in specialty

Inpatient Oncology/Transplant specialty experience preferred.

Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned area
