Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a therapeutic school in Everett, MA and is seeking a 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) - with potential openness to a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - to support student transportation .
Position Details

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 36 weeks

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Morning pickup: 7:00 AM

Afternoon pickup: 1:00 PM

Location: Everett, MA

Hours Per Week: Approximately 20 hours

Pay: $80 flat rate per run
Student Overview
The student is a 6-year-old male with complex medical needs, including:

History of COL4A1 variant and prenatally diagnosed large fetal intracranial hemorrhage
-
Spastic quadriplegia
-
Intractable epilepsy
-
Global developmental delay
-
Cortical visual impairment
The student is BiPAP-dependent , has a gastrostomy tube , and uses a wheelchair .
Position responsibilities include seizure monitoring and emergency medication administration as well as managing aspiration risk , including urgent suctioning when needed .
This role is ideal for a nurse experienced in high-acuity pediatric care , seizure management, and medical transport support.

The 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the nursing process and delivering individualized student care within the school environment. This role ensures that all services are provided in alignment with physician orders and in accordance with the standards, policies, and philosophy of both the School District and Amergis Healthcare.
Minimum Requirements:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing

One year of school nursing experience, preferred
-
Pediatric experience, preferred
-
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
-
Current CPR if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
-
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
-
Must be at least 18 years of age
