LPN Unit Manager - Long Term Care (Day Shift)
Facility: Heritage Community of Kalamazoo
Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift (typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Compensation

Local Pay: $45/hour

Travel Pay: $2,166/week total package

Travel candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to qualify
About the Role
Heritage Community of Kalamazoo is seeking an experienced LPN Unit Manager to support daily clinical operations in a long-term care setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN who enjoys leadership, organization, and collaboration-without the demands of on-call coverage or overnight shifts.
This role focuses on clinical coordination and unit oversight , rather than full-time floor staffing, making it ideal for nurses who want to lead while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with admissions and care coordination

Track and monitor wounds and treatment plans

Support and maintain care plans and clinical documentation

Help oversee daily unit workflow and staff support

Collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure quality care

Provide hands-on leadership without formal disciplinary duties

No on-call responsibilities
Schedule & Work Environment

Day shift only, Monday-Friday

Occasional weekends if needed (not routine)

Long-term care community with a collaborative team culture

Qualifications

Active LPN license
-
Minimum 1 year of nurse manager or supervisory experience

Long-term care experience preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
